ELECTRONICS VERIFICATION SERVICE POLICY

Effective Date: 10 July 2026

This Electronics Verification Service Policy (“Policy”) governs the optional, value-added service provided by NewSa (operated by Circec Solutions Private Limited) for the verification of select electronics and appliances listed on the Platform. By opting into this service, Users agree to the following terms, which supplement our general Terms of Service and Payment & Shipping Policy.

1. Service Scope and Eligibility

  • Optional Enrollment: This is a pre-paid, optional value-added service available only for specific items as designated by NewSa. The service must be explicitly selected by the Buyer at the time of checkout, where the applicable service charges—which may vary on a case-by-case basis—will be clearly displayed prior to payment completion.
  • Platform Discretion: NewSa reserves the absolute right to determine which items or product categories are eligible for this service. We further reserve the right to decline or unilaterally cancel this service at any time, including after an order has been placed, if we determine that the item cannot be verified to our satisfaction.
  • Liability Limitation: NewSa is not liable for the provision of this service if external circumstances (e.g., lack of accessible configuration data, hardware diagnostic constraints, or inability to secure third-party database validation) prevent its completion. In the event of such cancellation, NewSa will issue a 100% refund of the service fee to the Buyer.
  • "As-Is" State Assessment (Non-Repair Stance):
    • No Repairs: NewSa operates strictly as a diagnostic verification platform. NewSa does not perform physical, mechanical, or software repairs, component replacements, or refurbishments.
    • Pre-Reported Damage Exceptions: If a device possesses physical blemishes, cosmetic defects, or minor functional degradation, it will pass verification provided that the Seller explicitly documented and disclosed these exact discrepancies in the original marketplace listing description and photos.
    • Objective Discrepancy Standard: The primary mandate of the verification engine is to confirm that the item received at NewSa HQ matches the Seller’s explicit description and parameters.
  • Strict "No-Opening" Hardware Mandate:
    • To maintain structural and OEM warranty integrity, NewSa technicians strictly conduct external, diagnostic, and interface-level verification.
    • Under no circumstances will NewSa open, unscrew, disassemble, or alter the internal physical casing or components of any device to inspect its interior.

2. Logistics and Verification Process

  • Modified Shipping Flow
    • Seller to NewSa HQ: The Seller will be provided with a pre-paid shipping label to NewSa HQ or any other verification centre as decided by the company. The Seller remains responsible for all packaging requirements and must ensure the item is ready for pickup within one (1) to three (3) days, in accordance with the standards established in our Payment & Shipping Policy.
    • NewSa to Buyer: Once verified, NewSa assumes full responsibility for the safe, professional re-packaging and final transit of the product to the Buyer.
  • Verification Scope:Upon receipt, NewSa performs a comprehensive inspection focusing on two primary pillars. The exact diagnostic and verification steps vary on an item-by-item basis depending on the product category (such as smartphones, laptops, audio gear, or smartwatches) and are detailed comprehensively in the NewSa Electronics Device Diagnostic Protocol:
    • Condition Assessment: We examine the item's physical condition to ensure it matches the description provided by the Seller in the listing, including wear and tear, functionality, structural integrity, and presence of original components or accessories.
    • Software & Account Security Verification: We verify the digital legitimacy and operational safety of the hardware. This includes checking network connectivity, ensuring factory resets are properly executed, and verifying the absolute removal of enterprise locks or persistent remote management profiles.
  • In-Platform Verification: Upon receipt, NewSa will perform this rigorous check within two (2) business days. This process is documented under high-definition camera surveillance from the point of unboxing the Seller’s package to the final re-packaging.
  • Service Timeline:Opting for this service will result in an additional delivery delay of two (2) to seven (7) business days, which is communicated to the Buyer at the time of checkout.

3. Owner Verification & Statutory Records

  • Identity and Ownership Verification:To prevent fraud, trace provenance, and secure high-value legal ownership records within the C2C ecosystem, NewSa mandates strict identity verification for the processing of secondary electronics market goods. Sellers may be required to undergo verification utilizing secure authentication tools (e.g., DigiLocker API integration) to confirm legitimacy.
  • Security Record Compilation: For security tracking and future statutory alignment, a legally compliant, masked version of the Seller's Government-issued ID may be appended directly to the transactional records and invoice details compiled for the specific order.
  • Statutory Compliance:These steps are executed solely to maintain a valid chain of custody, comply with consumer protection regulations for high-value secondary market goods, and mitigate platform liability regarding stolen property or illegal trade.

4. Verification Standards and Security Locks

  • Cloud & MDM Disconnection Requirement:Sellers must completely log out of, reset, and decouple all corporate MDM profiles, bios passwords, factory locks, and personal cloud accounts (e.g., Find My, iCloud, Google Account) prior to shipping.
  • Automatic Failure Rejection: Any device arriving at NewSa HQ locked, linked to an enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) profile, or locked behind a password/PIN will result in an immediate, automatic verification failure.
  • Final Decision Maker: NewSa remains the sole and final decision-maker regarding the operational quality and structural verification of any item processed through this service.

5. Verification Failure and Consequences

  • Buyer Refund: Should an item fail the verification assessment, the transaction is automatically terminated. The Buyer will receive a full refund, including the verification service fee, processed to the original payment method within five (5) to seven (7) business days.
  • Seller Accountability:
    • Return Shipping & Penalties: If an item fails assessment due to undisclosed defects, locks, or misrepresentation, the Seller may be subject to penalty fees deducted directly from their platform escrow balance to cover two-way logistics and administrative costs. The final decision regarding seller financial penalties rests solely with NewSa management. If the service is cancelled due to an internal platform service inability, the item will be returned to the Seller at no additional cost.
    • Seller Conduct: If an item is found to be a malicious attempt to defraud or pass off completely illegitimately sourced items, the Seller is subject to immediate and permanent debarment from the Platform, subject to an internal assessment by NewSa.

6. Contestation and Appeals

  • Contestation Process: In the event that a User wishes to contest a verification decision made by NewSa, they must formally contact the Grievance Officer at support@newsa.in with their contestation claim. The User may submit additional proof or documentation supporting the original state of the device.• Right of Rejection: NewSa reserves the right to review, evaluate, and reject any such claims at our sole discretion, particularly if our internal findings and camera surveillance records remain consistent with our initial assessment. Our decision post-review remains final and unappealable.

7. Grievance Redressal

  • Contacting the Grievance Officer: For any issues related to this Electronics Verification Service, including grievances or disputes, Users may reach out to our appointed Grievance Officer, Harsh Ranjan, via email at support@newsa.in.
