AUTHENTICATION SERVICE POLICY

Effective Date: 10 July 2026

This Authentication Service Policy (“Policy”) governs the optional, value-added service provided by NewSa (operated by Circec Solutions Private Limited) for the verification of select luxury items listed on the Platform. By opting into this service, Users agree to the following terms, which supplement our general Terms of Service and Payment & Shipping Policy.

1. Service Scope and Eligibility

  • Optional Enrollment: This is a pre-paid, optional value-added service available only for specific items as designated by NewSa. The service must be explicitly selected by the Buyer at the time of checkout, where the applicable service charges—which may vary on a case-by-case basis—will be clearly displayed prior to payment completion.
  • Platform Discretion: NewSa reserves the absolute right to determine which items or product categories are eligible for this service. We further reserve the right to decline or unilaterally cancel this service at any time, including after an order has been placed, if we determine that the item cannot be verified to our satisfaction.
  • Liability Limitation: NewSa is not liable for the provision of this service if external circumstances (e.g., lack of accessible brand data, inability to secure third-party verification) prevent its completion. In the event of such cancellation, NewSa will issue a 100% refund of the service fee to the Buyer.

2. Logistics and Authentication Process

  • Modified Shipping Flow: Upon selection of this service, the logistics process is modified as follows:
  • Seller to NewSa HQ: The Seller will be provided with a pre-paid shipping label to NewSa HQ or any other verification centre as decided by the company. The Seller remains responsible for all packaging requirements and must ensure the item is ready for pickup within 1–3 days, in accordance with the standards established in our Payment & Shipping Policy.
  • Authentication Scope: Upon receipt, NewSa performs a comprehensive inspection focusing on two primary pillars:
    • Quality Assessment: We examine the item's physical condition to ensure it matches the description provided by the Seller in the listing, including wear and tear, functionality, structural integrity, and presence of original components or accessories.
    • Replica check: We verify the item's origin and genuineness by scrutinizing brand-specific markers, serial numbers, craftsmanship, hardware, material quality, and provenance documentation to confirm the item is not a counterfeit or replica.
  • In-Platform Verification: Upon receipt, NewSa will perform this rigorous check within two (2) business days. This process is documented under high-definition camera surveillance from the point of unboxing the Seller’s package to the final re-packaging.
  • NewSa to Buyer: Once verified, NewSa assumes full responsibility for the safe, professional re-packaging and final transit of the product to the Buyer. A formal authentication report certifying the outcome of the evaluation process shall be included with the product upon dispatch and courier to the buyer.
  • Service Timeline: Opting for this service will result in an additional delivery delay of two (2) to seven (7) business days, which is communicated to the Buyer at the time of checkout.

3. Owner Verification & Statutory Records

  • Identity and Ownership Verification: To prevent fraud, trace provenance, and secure high-value legal ownership records within the C2C ecosystem, NewSa mandates strict identity verification for the processing of luxury goods. Sellers may be required to undergo verification utilizing secure authentication tools (e.g., DigiLocker API integration) to confirm legitimacy.
  • Security Record Compilation: For security tracking and future statutory alignment, a legally compliant, masked version of the Seller's Government-issued ID may be appended directly to the transactional records and invoice details compiled for the specific order.
  • Statutory Compliance: These steps are executed solely to maintain a valid chain of custody, comply with consumer protection regulations for high-value secondary market goods, and mitigate platform liability regarding stolen property or illegal trade.

4. Authentication Standards and Partner Usage

  • Verification Methodology: NewSa utilizes a combination of in-house expert inspection and, where necessary, consultation with recognized third-party authentication partners.
  • Data Sharing: By opting into this service, Users consent to NewSa sharing relevant product images, videos, and associated documentation with our recognized third-party partners to facilitate the verification process.
  • Final Decision Maker: NewSa remains the sole and final decision-maker regarding the authenticity and quality of any item processed through this service.

5. Authentication Failure and Consequences

  • Buyer Refund: Should an item fail the authentication or quality assessment, the Buyer will receive a full refund, including the authentication service fee, processed to the original payment method within five (5) to seven (7) business days.
  • Seller Accountability:
    • Return Shipping: If an item fails assessment, NewSa may require the Seller to bear the cost of return shipping for the item. If the service is cancelled for reasons other than a failure to authenticate (e.g., internal service inability), the item will be returned to the Seller at no additional cost.
    • Seller Conduct: If an item is found to be non-authentic, the Seller is subject to immediate and permanent debarment from the Platform. This disciplinary action is subject to an internal assessment by NewSa regarding whether the listing of the non-authentic item was a result of malicious intent (counterfeiting) or an inadvertent error.

6. Contestation and Appeals

  • Contestation Process: In the event that a User wishes to contest a decision made by NewSa, they must formally contact the Grievance Officer at support@newsa.in with their contestation claim. The User may submit additional proof, such as a verification report from a reputable, recognized third-party authenticator.
  • Right of Rejection: NewSa reserves the right to review, evaluate, and reject any such reports at our sole discretion, particularly if our internal findings remain consistent with our initial assessment. Our decision post-review remains final and unappealable.
  • Limitation of Liability: In the event of an error, contest, dispute, or issue arising from our authentication process, our total liability is strictly limited to the value of the specific transaction in question

7. Grievance Redressal

Contacting the Grievance Officer: For any issues related to this Authentication Service, including grievances or disputes, Users may reach out to our appointed Grievance Officer, Harsh Ranjan, via email at support@newsa.in.
